You don’t have to live with diarrhea and indigestion!
If you're struggling with diarrhea, loose stools, indigestion, acid reflux, or even constipation, you're not alone. Most of my clients come to me with these issues, and the truth is, these problems stem from the way we've eaten throughout our lives. The standard diet most of us grew up on has set the stage for gut issues in our later years, and after years of low-level dietary assaults, gut bacteria can’t survive, our bodies can’t handle it anymore, and digestion shuts down.
The Root Cause: An unbalanced gut microbiome (too many “bad” bacteria, and not enough “good” bacteria in your stomach, gallbladder, intestines, and appendix).
Digestive issues like diarrhea, loose stools, and indigestion are symptoms of gut dysbiosis, an imbalance in the gut microbiome. The gut microbiome is the collection of trillions of bacteria living in your digestive organs, and they digest your food, produce nutrients, and keep your immune system strong. Years of poor dietary choices like eating processed foods, excessive sugar, and not enough fiber wears this delicate system down.
What you thought you knew about nutrition is wrong. Many of us have been misled about what constitutes a "healthy" diet. Decades of misinformation, especially from the meat and dairy industries (I’m not a conspiracy theorist, these industries just have TONS of money and power!) have shaped eating habits that harm us rather than nourish us. For example:
- Low-fat diets- were once praised as healthy, but removing fats means replacing them with sugars and artificial ingredients, which disrupt the microbiome. Fats are necessary macronutrients!
- Processed foods- that claim to be "whole grain" or "natural" are often loaded with white sugar, ultra refined oils, additives, and preservatives that inflame the gut lining and lead to dysbiosis.
- High-protein, low-carb diets- may sound great for weight loss, but are ultra processed and they lack the fiber and starches necessary to feed the good bacteria in your gut, while also creating the wrong pH balance for healthy bacteria to survive.
If you've followed any nutrition trends, including taking a lot of supplements, it could explain why you're facing digestive issues now. But don’t worry—it's never too late to make changes that will benefit your gut and your overall health. The good news is that making changes to your diet will dramatically improve your health, reduce symptoms of dysbiosis, and help you feel better. I will help you to understand the long-term impact of eating so you can build healthy habits that don’t feel like “work” or “dieting”. The truth is, the way we've been taught to eat and enabled to crave have caused the wrong types of bacteria to proliferate in our guts. By making simple but powerful changes, you can restore balance in your gut, stop suffering from diarrhea and indigestion, reduce uncomfortable symptoms, and gain energy. Like you, your gut is resilient—it can heal when given the right support. The key is to make sure you’re feeding it the foods it needs, and avoiding the ones that do more harm than good.
If you’ve spent years struggling with weight, energy, and digestive issues, it’s time to take a new approach that isn’t based on pharmaceutical drugs or fad diets. Improving your gut health isn’t just about fixing symptoms—it’s about changing your perspective on food and eating for long-term health. Ready to start feeling better?
